(LINCROFT, NJ) – Software development claims its title as one of the most demanded industries in 2021 and is expected to be the fastest growing profession in this decade. Brookdale Community College’s Office of Continuing and Professional Studies will offer part-time coding internships to train the adult learner in the skills needed to enter the tech field.

Coding bootcamps provide an accelerated path to land jobs in roles such as Java Developer, Software Engineer, Back-End Developer, Application Developer, and Front-End Developer with competitive base salaries. The program is designed to teach the technologies and methodologies that industry employers look for when hiring entry-level developers, without the time or financial commitment of a computer science degree.

“One of the best features of this program is the opportunity it offers to students who want an accelerated path to a career in IT. The flexibility of the bootcamp model allows students to enter a skilled workforce and secure a well-paying job in less than 6 months, ”said Dr Joan Ali Scocco, Dean of Continuing and Professional Studies. “It doesn’t matter where you start from, in Brookdale, here will get you there.”

Throughout the high-tech, high-touch program, students spend an hour and a half in personalized live micro-conferences and an additional 13-18 hours of learning at their own pace each week. Opportunities to enrich the learning experience are provided through weekly one-on-one meetings with mentors, a responsive Slack community, office hours, and career services. The small class size promotes personalized learning and individualized attention while fostering the growth of a professional support network.

“We don’t give lessons, we teach students. Our bootcamp programs, and the whole methodology of how we teach, revolve around giving students the one-on-one experience they need to be successful, ”said Nick Suwyn, President of Promineo Tech. “With our unique model, we are able to provide the dedicated support students need to learn software development at a significantly reduced cost compared to other bootcamps. “
