Interswitch Limited is an integrated payment and transaction processing company providing technology integration, consulting services, transaction processing and payments infrastructure to government, banks and corporates.
Interswitch, through its “Super Switch”, provides real-time, online transaction switching that allows businesses and individuals to access their funds across Nigeria’s 24 banks and a variety of payment channels. such as as Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), Point of Sale (PoS) terminals, mobile phones, kiosks, websites and bank branches.
Design, code, test, analyze, and manage software programs and applications that drive Interswitch’s third-party strategy, products, and business.
Assists other software engineers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and developing new software programs and applications
Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, improve and document software products and components developed by self and others according to requirements and detailed design
Design and implement automated unit tests according to the needs of a project
Works closely with Team Lead, Business Analyst and Product Owner to understand functional and system requirements
Involved in task distribution, provides reasonable work estimates and communicates deviations from estimates or work product prior to deadline
Creates in-depth, professional-quality technical specifications and design documentation
Contributes to company knowledge base and process improvement
keep abreast of emerging software technologies and make recommendations
Proactively recommends, plans and delivers improvements and upgrades to the development framework and software and tools
Academic degree(s): Minimum bachelor’s degree / HND in computer science/systems/electrical engineering/electronics/applied physics/computer science or a related discipline Professional qualification(s): optional
Experience (number of relevant years): At least 5 years of hands-on experience writing production quality code.
