TASKING launches SmartCode – a new software design environment for next-generation Infineon AURIX ™ TC4xx automotive microcontrollers to improve safety and performance

The next AURIX ™ TC4xx family of microcontrollers will be prepared for data-intensive automotive applications such as future gateways, domain and zone controllers, electromobility and advanced driver assistance systems. The microcontrollers will also provide ASIL performance, throughput, and energy-efficient performance needed to meet the growing demands of AI compute and high-speed control loops.

TASKS SmartCode is the only software platform that fully supports the unique combination of architectures within the AURIX ™ TC4xx family of microcontrollers, enabling vehicle manufacturers to build safer, traditional and autonomous vehicles. TASKING and Infineon have teamed up to initiate the development of this design environment.

TASKING SmartCode is developed according to Automotive SPICE® Level 2 standards, with TÜV certification according to ISO 26262 up to ASIL D to best support TASKING and Infineon customers. TASKING SmartCode even provides compiler support for Synopsys new Parallel Processing Unit (PPU), one of the key enhancements to the next generation AURIX ™ TC4xx family of microcontrollers. Only TASKING and Synopsys offer compiler support for the new PPU.

To best support the AURIX ™ TC4xx family of microcontrollers, TASKING is developing a comprehensive set of additional tools to help TASKING and Infineon customers optimize the performance of the multi-core architecture for safety critical applications.

The TASKING SmartCode development environment is currently available as a beta system for dedicated core customers. A full deployment will accompany the release of the next AURIX ™ TC4xx family of microcontrollers.
